Biography
I define myself as a contemporary figurative and decorative artist specializing in oil painting. I grew up in an artist’s family. My father was a portrait and landscape professional artist.
Art was a natural part of my life from a young age. I also received a very extensive training in Art History from the world-famous museums such as Louve, Vatican, Hermitage, Prado, etc...
I studied art from “Old Masters” Michelangelo, Botticelli, Albrecht Durer and many others.
My quest was in search of portraying an ideal harmonic images full of femininity, beauty and love.
My paintings can be viewed as an expression of dramatic contrast of strong vibrant colors in combination with soft pastels. They represent the symphony of life and the dance to the music of the universe.
Elongated ethereal faces with large eyes are full of soulful expressions, mystery, enchantment, serenity and spirituality. The images are gentle, delicate and full of elegance. They are timeless and ageless.
Through the paintings I want to draw the viewer into a dream-like world full of fantasy. I also have a special affinity for flowers. They have an enigmatic divine power. I create intimate bouquets and decorative enlarged images of flowers to bring the serenity and beauty of nature to the surroundings.
